I fully agree with Danial. If we are going to strike
do it 100% or not. We are playing games and the
ministry understands that. I think we arethe weakest
of all sectors in the country. I remember when I
taught in Philly 29 years ago and we had a strike that
lasted about six weeks. We finally got a raise but
more than that we got other benefits ( dental, glasses
and precriptions for the family). Sometimes benefits
are better than money because they can't be taxed.
Another point that bothers me is who decides where and
when we strike? I think that since we lose money for
each hour or day that we lose we should have a say in
it. These only my feelings on the subject.
