Subject: tapes vs CDs
Dear Jacquie and everyoone,
Some time ago I promised to find out the telephone numbers
to call at the Testing Department about having the Bagrut
recorded onto a CD.
In fact, having asked my students, I find that grade 10s
would prefer MP3 CDs, while those in grades 11 and 12
who have already used a tape before, prefer a cassette
simply because they already have a walkman.
Schools should therefore, be able to order BOTH if they so wish.
However, as I understand it, this winter's Bagrut will
not be recorded onto a CD - and who knows about the summer.
In order to nudge the ministry into doing something here
are the following numbers:
Head of the Testing Dept.
Rachela Shapir Tel: 02-5602489 Fax: 02-5602129
There is also someone called Ricki Zakan, who is also
a person to contact, but I don't know what her job is.
Last year, Avi Dadon was the person from whom to
order tapes, so his number may also be useful.
Tel: 02-5602923.
The more people who telephone and send faxes about the
use of CDs, the more likely we are to influence those in the know.
Good luck to everyone,
Patricia
