Hi,

I'm looking for any simple poetry and/or song that could be used in school. A colleague of mine passed me one verse for example:

''One - Two - Three - Four,
Merry at the cottage door.
Five, Six, Seven, Eight
Eating cherries from the plate.''

I'm working as a primary English language teacher at a local minority school. The children are 8-9 years old and this is their second year studying English and their year in school. We are using the Ron Holt's ''BLUE SKIES for Bulgaria'' - Longman. The themes approximately are:

Where are you from?; Possessions; Family; Toys; Halloween; Food; Activities; Daily activities; Routines; Christmas; Movement; Animals and food; National heroes; Appearance; In the kitchen; Likes and dislikes; Health tips; Easter; Favors; Senses; Traffic rules; Famous places;

As I have no previous experience, I'll be grateful for any advice or information you could send to me. Thank you.
