And you care because.....?
Taking the bagrut as an "externi" is no walk in the park.
firstly it means that they have to pay for the pleasure. At
the moment it is included in whatever they pay as school
fees.
Secondly, the grade you give them can provide them
protection against screwing up on the big day (hence the
unofficial name, "tsiyun magen). It provides a back-up just
in case the test is particularly difficult and/or they
happen to be feeling lousy that day because of illness,
arguing with parents, breaking up with boyfriend/girlfriend
etc.
If they want to take their chances and pay through the nose
for this, let them. The more, the merrier. Let's dedicate
our time and energy to pupils who actually give a damn.
