I don't know if any of you have faced this problem or have been disturbed
by this particular situation.. I was recently approached by a few 11th gr.
students who have done nothing all year (including a project) and now
"demand" a decent yearly grade and claim they will sign up for any of the
modules that they please... when I told them that they don't have a yearly
grade for any module..and I sent letters home all year..and called.etc,etc.. 
their parents said they would complain about me to Judy Steiner.... of
course,they are more than welcome as far as I'm concerned !!!  Their
rachezet told them the same thing ....at they have no yearly grade..so they
got off "my case" and dropped English all together..taking a few friends
with..claiming they don't need me or the yearly grade....and they will do
ENglish as soon as they graduate.."externi" exams without all the work..in
any case they will get the same exam mark and final results WITHOUT the
effort of booktasks, literature and projects.... One of their homeroom
teachers told me privately that if this is so then she's surprised more kids 
don't take this option...minimum hassle for the same results!!!!    Is this
true??? If so..just another example of why teachers look stupid in the eyes
of the public  !!!!
