Today, there are excellent English-English LEARNERS' dictionaries on the
market...
they are soft cover, not too expensive (I made a group order from the
Acadamon in Jerusalem for the Longman and they cost 105 per book and they
came with a CD Rom..but this was last Sept and prices have probably gone up)
Longman, Oxford, Cambridge, Macmillan and Collins all wonderful.
I do disagree with Joe about Collins being the best...but I think that which
one is preferred is individual...(the Collins has a distinctive way of
writing their definitions)..
I have a feeling that Longman, Oxford and Cambridge are the easiest to
obtain here and you cannot go wrong with any of them.
