Dear ETNIers,
Just today I walked through a crowd of pupils in order to get to the bus
stop. Many said hello. A number said Shabbat Shalom. A smile, a nice
word. A short distance before my bus stop yet another pupil said that he
hoped that I would have a lovely weekend. I stopped and told him what a
pleasure it was to walk through a crowd of some 300 pupils and not be
afraid. He just nodded, but I knew that he understood.
No, I am not saying that all the children are angels. No, I am not saying
that there isn't an abundance of bad language and poor behaviour in school.
BUT it is a far cry from the violence and abuse that so many teachers
WORLDWIDE have to put up with day in day out. I wish that all teachers
could feel the way I do at the end of the day.
Shabbat Shalom
Esta
