You can get all sorts of recorded material from the American Embassy -
English Language Program's division - US Information Agency.  I think they
have an office in Jerusalem.  As far as I know they are tapes not CD's but
maybe they have upgraded. They are very reasonably priced.

You could also ask other teachers for the tape recordings of the Bagrut
exams - They usually tape them to help prepare students  for the next exam.

Many books come with CD's for  listening comprehension and grammar work.  I
use "New Interchange  3 " of Jack C. Richards - Cambridge U.P. - suitable
for advanced Adults but there might be similar stuff for less advanced
adults.

There are also lessons- with recordings - that one can get over the
internet - for payment - English Town is one of them.

Your student can also listen to the BBC on the radio while driving if he has
an AM receiver.
