In fact, the whole "bagrut is NOT a true picture of what many
kids know".
Actually the extremely clever kids find the questions more difficult
than the ordinary, mediocre students because they are looking
for other meanings, and sometimes the questions do not ask for
an understanding of English but rather what the exam writer has
in mind, you must admit that that is rather impossible to do.
It's a bit like crossword puzzles. I often tell these clever kids to
try and think differently, and simply. Very sad situation. No one
has yet answered the question I asked last year "What are the language
teaching principles for the new bagrut?" WHAT IS IT TESTING?
Not to mention the ridiculous grades given for each question.
