I believe Anonymous knows everything Miriam Grief and the others have written here, but if I read his/her message correctly, the real problem is that the Irgun is demanding things which are unrealistic under the current government. According to Anonymous, nobody will give us what we need: smaller classes, the hours that were reduced, budgets for building better schools and more classes, getting paid for hours with Ld students, a substantial salary that will attract young teachers, etc. Since no one in the government will agree to these, we should be practical and accept quietly what we're offered and keep on slaving more hours for less money in the overcrowded classes we have grown so accustomed to. There is no point, according to this logic, in trying to change your situation - you will only lose money and gain nothing. Therefore, we should all sign the "Ofek Reform" and be happy with what we manage to get...
Anonymous has a right to this opinion. However, no matter how pessimistic I may be, I'd rather fight for what I think we need than quietly accept the insulting "Reform" offered us by this government, which is actually the "Dovrat Reform" under a different title. I know there will have to be some kind of compromise at the end and I just hope it will be worth the fight.
