If u fnd ths hrd to rd, spar a thort 4 da mrkas of ths yrs NCEA xamz.
The New Zealand Qualifications Authority said this week students
sitting their NCEA (National Certificate of Educational Achievement)
examinations can use abbreviations, which could include text language,
if their answer is clear and shows understanding.
Abbreviations will not be accepted in exams like English, for which
students have to demonstrate good use of language, but the NZQA said
they would be allowed in other exams and accepted it could include
text language although that would not be encouraged.
Rotorua English teachers and even some students are horrified.
