Subject: Re: THE GMULE FOR THE MODULE
My school pays 'gmul' only to the teachers of the 12th grades. A teacher who
teaches Modules A, C or E in 11th grade and doesn't go on teaching a Bagrut
class in 12th grade gets no 'gmul' at all.
Yael Leper-Bitton, the Irgun representative from the northern region, is
aware of that. In her visit to our school before the holidays she said it's
the English teachers' fault, because we gave in to the Inspectorate's
pressure and agreed to start the NBA reform without getting the 'gmul' we
deserved. I doubt the Irgun will do anything about it if we English teachers
don't get organized as a group to claim our rights.

I asked this a while back as I felt my school was doing foile shtick.
Several schools answered that they divided the gmulim as equally
as possible for the 3 exams:
EG: 3.5 hours was divided to 1 hour for E, 1 for F and 1.5 for G;
the general consensus was that the teacher should receive the gmuls
or during each year taught, or all in a clump in Yud Bet.
However, this is not official.
In practice, we have a situation of "Kol Ma She me'uvat Beenav Yaaaseh",
which, loosely translated means that everyone is doing whatever the huck
they want and some teachers are being cheated. I don't know of any
cases where a teacher is getting overpaid because the administration
didn't understand the new system.
I haven't appealed to the Irgun yet, but I think we should go as a group
unless the Inspectorate is willing to get involved.
