I do give the 'matkonet' exams back to the students - I don't see why not.
We won't use it again next year. I gave the exams back at the beginning of a
lesson and asked them to look at the exams. We went over all the difficult
parts and I explained whatever they did not understand. It took a whole
lesson.
Your method is even better - if you have the time for it, which I didn't.
