Subject: Re: Not fair to make LD pupiils suffer!
I have some problems with Esther's letter, although of course we all realize
the problematics of the decision to have sanctions affecting the LD
population. Firstly we are a union, and only our union can represent us, and
believe me, we need someone to do that because the general public has not
the slightest idea why the educational system is collapsing and we don't
seem to be able to convince them that it has to change.
Secondly, how is she going to know who are the REAL Ld and which are REAL LD
pupils;
" not those who purchased hatamot for 1,700 shekels.)"
How does she think we are going to be
"compensated for tracking down walkmans; making cassettes; testing orally;
etc. "
unless we take some action. ??
Again after 2 months of strike last year we got precisely nothing!
I know that innocents will be hurt but isn't that the very nature of all
industrial action?
When the hospitals, nurses, doctors, train drivers, social workers
strike,innocent bystanders are penalized. that's what always happens. If the
universities don't open next week that is also going to hurt innocent
students (including my son) but if you want improved conditions you have to
stand up for yourself.
So far nobody except Ran Erez could care less about us and our working
conditions (least of all Prof Tamir)
Sorry to rant but I am really upset that we are going to be walked over yet
again,and if we can't all stick togetherr what hope is there?

dealing with such challenges as those mentioned above suffer because of a
monetary dispute between the Irgun and the Ministry. I don't believe that
teachers with LD children at home, (or members of his/ her close family)
would say aloud anything different unless they're afraid to speak out,
which I am not. (This is why I opposed in the past publishing anonymous
e-mails.)
