Dear Yvonne,
1. Where did you get the text for "Twelve Angry Men"?
2. Regarding "cheating"...... believe me - those who cheat and do NOT do
the
literature work are missing out BIG TIME, especially their pupils.
3. Regarding gaps... yes - we had really big ones, as well - you are NOT
alone.

We taught our 5 pointers "Twelve Angry Men" this year
and the kids actually enjoyed it. It's interesting to
discuss the legal system in the States compared to
here, the notion of "beyond a reasonable doubt", etc.
After finishing, we watched the original version of
the film and discussed differences.
We will use it again this year.
By the way, it really bugs me when I hear some schools
are not doing the Literature Programme, while some of
us carry on, despite the extra load of Project work.
I'm surprised that no one has brought up the Bagrut
grades and the par between the Tziun shnati and the
exam grade. Am I to understand there were no problems?
We definitely had some exaggerated cases which are a
bit worrying.
