End of the Fall

              If a man falls from a plane in the middle of the night
              only G-d can raise him.
              G-d appears to him in the middle of the night
              touches the man and soothes his pain.
              G-d doesn’t cleanse his blood
              because the blood is not the soul,
              G-d doesn’t fondle his limbs
              the man is not flesh.
              G-d bends over him, raises his head and looks at him.
              In the eyes of G-d the man is a small boy.
              He gets up heavily on all fours and wants to walk,
              but he feels he has wings to fly.
              The man is still confused and doesn’t know
              it’s pleasanter to flutter than to crawl.
              G-d would like to caress his head
              but he delays.
              He doesn’t want to startle the man
              with signs of love.

              If a man falls from a plane in the middle of the night
              only G-d will know the end of the fall.
