I have seen successful Language Days with middle school students that, for example, turned the room into a typical country scene (i.e., a soda fountain scene) where something typical was being served (i.e., an ice cream sundae), typical music being played (i.e., Beach Boys or Elvis), the only language being spoken was the Language of the Day, kids could wear typical clothing or hair styles, do some dancing or singing of prototypical dancing or songs (i.e., rock and roll, square dance, and folk songs or Elvis). Photos, posters around for atmosphere helped.

I know this question repeats itself every now and then.
I even tried the SEARCH at the Etni site and have
found only the questions so far, without any answers..
So, I ask this again.. Those of you who had successful
English Days - I'll be happy to hear some details.
We are planning something before Pessah to our Junior
High kids, and we would like to get more ideas.
I take this opportunity to suggest that if there are repeated
issues on the list, may be they could be kept somewhere
on the site according to subject.
