Subject: Re: ETNI worksheet centre
As the Worksheet Center system administrator, I have to add a few more
things:
1. we all have tons of worksheets, don't we? (most of them still in these
cardboard boxes, all dog-eared, and some (a copy of a copy of a copy) almost
illegible - but...
- most of them have been just copied from books, workbooks and other sources
so we don't really want to "share" the fact we use copyright-protected
materials;
- some are not from books or workbooks - but they are not ours. A colleague
created it and shared it with the team; we keep these worksheets but feel it
unethical to send to the Worksheet Center, and rightly so.
What does it boil down to? A dozen or so worksheets that are truly original.
Not so much - but if you take 12 times the number of teachers subscribed to
ETNI this should be a formidable amount. Send your stuff in guys - we all
need them.
Moreover (HEAR! HEAR!): if it turns out we get enough stuff to use, I
personally promise to convert these static worksheets into dynamic,
interactive quizzes that - note this! - will be instantly graded by the
system itself, thus relieving you from the need to grade them. Just bring
your class to the lab, seat them at the PCs - and go to your corner to relax
and drink your deserved cup of coffee.
Tempted? Keep sending'em folks.
Best -
Lev

Lots of you have registered for the ETNI worksheets site,
http://worksheets.schiffman.biz/, which is great but (there's
always a 'but' isn't there?)...
1. Very few teachers have submitted worksheets (thank you to
those few).
If this site is going to be useful - we need YOUR help! We've
all written a worksheet, so why not share it with other people?
The more we share, the less work we'll have preparing our lessons.
2. We (the moderators) have been experiencing a few
technical teething problems. We apologize, the teeth are nearly
through, so please be patient.

Amanda
