Hi Everyone,

I find that a really good way to do editing and correction in writing is to
use the computer room (grades 10,11,12). Each student then writes an essay
of about 120 words using WORD. When they have finished I go around the
room pointing out mistakes and getting the students to come up with their
own corrections. I also tell them to add a 'therefore' and a 'however' to
every piece of writing they do. Some kids bring a diskette or CD and save
their work that way. Others send it by attachment to their own email and
others don't save their work at all. Any way you look at it, the kids
often remember not to make the same mistake again.
Enjoy life,
Patricia
