Subject: more about the E exam : question to examiners
More about the 'E' exam in May : I haven't seen the specific Bagrut but my
daughter who got 100 in matkonot, 100 tsiun shnati ("magen"),100 in the
actual F exam and 95 in the G exam, got 91 for E.
I have marked bagruiot for the Mechinot and before marking, we markers sit
together and bring up possible answers and decide what to accept. Then, we
mark quite a few exams there on the spot and bring up further unexpected
responses and again decide how to deal with them. Throughout the 2-week
checking period, we have phone numbers of chief examiners to verify what to
do with unanticipated answers that aren't necessarily wrong, especially if
we believe (and established at the markers' initial meeting) that the
question was worded ambiguously or unclearly.
Is that not how it works with Misrad Hachinuch?
