Hi everyone!

I would like to ask if anyone knows whether the extra hour that we are
supposed to work as part of the new agreement (in exchange for 4.50 % salary
increase) obliges us to join the "Ofek Hadash" agreement when the time
comes.

I have received info warning that this is the case, however, our principal
says that the "Histadrut" promises that it is not so. But in parentheses she
said that this was not to be trusted. So I am none the wiser and neither is
anyone else in my school.

I am not sure that I want to join Ofek as I am already in my fifties. I am
willing to do the extra hour but not if it removes the possibility of choice
in future. Can anyone help on this?

Personally I am disgusted that such an important point should not be made
crystal clear and that we have to be detectives in order to clarify this
point!!!!

I would be glad and grateful to receive info on this matter.
