Thanks to all of you who replied so speedily to my questions. I'll experiment with the different suggestions for hanging things on blackboards.

Regarding books in the library vs. in the English room - having the books in the library is not an option for several reasons. The main reason is that the books are not all readers (which is why I want to take them out of the metal cupboard they were in till now and display them). We have some books on Deaf related issues (did you know there was a Deaf British Princess?), picture dictionaries and some very simple resource books. Because our classes are multi level (from 5th grade level to 5 point bagrut) we have one title of different readers, mainly easy ones (the strong pupils use additional readers from the school library, thats not a problem). most of the books were donated specifically for the Deaf pupils anyway so the library is not an option.
