In my English room I have a large blackboard (which is really green, of course). I use a small whiteboard for writing on (and projecting slides with the OVP, that's great!). I try to hang various theme related posters on the blackboard as it covers up a sizable wall space. I've always used Tik Tak (known also as yahoo tak or blue Tak, a kind of gum like thing) to hang up things on many surfaces but it doesn't stick well to the black/greenboard. Within a week things begin to fall. I don't want to use things that will ruin the surface of the blackboard as the things I hang up change and are of different sizes. Any suggestions?
I have the books and readers on a "reading table". Having a rug and a low shelf isn't an option (we have problems with the air conditioner leaking in summer and water rising from the floor when it rains). If I put the books on the table with bookends, every time someone pulls out a book the books are all over the place. So now I put the book in those cardboard things the pupils call "Meshulashim" but very few books fit in one and you can't see them well. Any suggestions?
