I would like to recommend an interactive graphic comic book.
Every section of the book takes you to another section. You can start from 
section one, choose which section to read next
and while creating your own plot you actively participate in the adventure
If you let your  pupils read it, they can later retell  their own story and 
explain why they took that route.
Each of the pupils will come up with a different story
It is a big change for them when writing their unique  book report
The book was written by a young Israeli, Lee Blum, and you can get it from 
him
