Hi all,
Ron Machol - who is running a new project at the Jewish Agency, designed to
assist people in the aliyah process prepare for the employment market in
Israel - has asked me to write an article to be published on their site that
will help these new immigrants best understand what their options are for
teaching English in Israel.
At this point, I wish to collect as much information as possible from those
of you who deal directly in these areas.
If you can provide me with information regarding the following points, it
would be greatly appreciated.
Please send the information to - david@xxxxxxxx
Areas to be covered:
- licensing requirements for current English teachers, and for English
speakers who are not English teachers
- what are the options for licensed English teachers in Israel?
- what are the options for non-licensed English teachers in Israel? for
instance, adult schools, private schools, tutoring...
- salaries/working conditions
- what options besides teaching might be appropriate for people with such
skills
- names and contact information of relevant organizations
- anything else that may be relevant
Thanks,
David
