Hedy questioned the new directive in her school regarding English teachers being required to fill out forms for LD accomodations.

This, as I understand, is the job of the guidance counselor. The guidance counselor is also the one privy to the didactic evaluations, and sometimes other evaluations. English teachers should provide him/her with relevant information about their pupils but it's NOT our job to do all this paperwork.

In our school the guidance counselor provides each teacher with a list of the pupils and their approved/suggested accomodations.

I would oppose the new directive. Speak with your school union reps first and turn to the union if needed.

That's what I've got to say on that matter....

Laurie, just "another" already over-worked English teacher.
