Subject: Using Nice Net Virtual Classroom
Greetings,
I use Nicenet: http://www.nicenet.org as a message board and communication
tool with all my classes.
Try it out. Just go into the website and create a virtual class for one of
your ground classes at Nice Net. You can add events, assignments, and links
you would like your students to do and use. Your students will then add the
assignments online by going into Document. Students get a class key when
they register and then use their chosen user names and passwords. You can
ask them to print out whatever you decide you want them to bring to class by
copying it on the web page or asking them to retrieve from a website. It
saves on paper and photocopying at school.
The students feel that they have a one to one tutor. I believe it is the
closest you can get to individualized instruction and learning. This is
important since our classes are becoming larger and larger.
Please feel free to ask for my help. I will be happy to share my experiences
and guide you though the process.
Best wishes,
Nellie Deutsch
