Food for thought....
Today's 'lashon' bagrut (module A) main (50 points!)  reading comprehension 
exercise was about the English language and how it's becoming more and more 
dominant. It was based on an article from Haaretz, which was based on an 
article in the Economist. In fact, I think it was posted on ETNI a while 
back.
The national test for Hebrew language uses an article about English and 
translated from English as its main reading compehension exercise?? Now 
that's an interesting thought.
