Hello Everyone,
I've been following the messages sent by high school teachers regarding the end of the year activities. I suddenly remembered that several years ago a visitor lecturer in one of the hishtalmuyot presented the balloon activity for elementary schools. It's taken from "English Teaching Professional - Issue twenty-two, January 2002" and it's called: "Burst the balloon by Angelita Moreno", here are the tasks:
1) Talk about your family.
2) Tell the class about your favorite TV programme.
3) Count form 20 to 1.
4) Tell the class about your last holiday.
5) Draw a monster on the board and describe it.
6) Dance.
7) Sing a song.
8) Complete this sentence: Before breakfast, I always...
9) Say why you are studying English.
10) Describe what you are wearing.
11) Draw a picture of your home on a piece of paper and describe it.
12) Say the day of the week.
13) Say the alphabet.
14) Talk about your favorite food.
15) Spell your last name.
16) Complete this sentence: After school, I sometimes...
17) Talk about your best friend.
18) Say the months of the year.
19) Say what you do in your free time.
20) Tell the class about your favorite day of the week.
That's it. You can choose whatever you like and add as much as you want.
I personally think some are too difficult for elementary school students so I substitute some of it with easier tasks.
