This is like a déjà vue, for those of us who are over a certain age, all I
can say is "Been there, done that", the only difference might be the "Blog"
innovation. We had to teach literature, it was interesting, the students
loved it and many of my students who are in their 40's  now still remember
the stories and PLAY they learned.

The fact that some teachers opted out because there were no external tests
in lit. is their loss.

Teaching lit. is thought-provoking, encourages discussion, debates etc. etc.

And enjoy the new-old, or the old-new module, but please don't choose
"Trifles" because it is short, don't underestimate your students, they can
really do more complicated plays, I think it is an insult to their
intelligence, and actually, from speaking to them they think so too.
