To all English teachers, coordinators and inspectors,

Now that the bagrut is finished, it's time to get involved in new projects, and to look forward.

The ETAI Annual National Conference in Jerusalem is coming up soon, on July 11-12th, and we are urging all of you who have good ideas for a workshop or presentation to send in your speaker proposal forms to the ETAI office. Last year we had 47 different presenters,
and we hope for at least that many this year.

If you tried out an idea in the classroom and it proved to be a big hit, other teachers would enjoy hearing about it, and could then incorporate your idea in their own lessons. In the last month, I've seen many interesting and novel approaches mentioned on the ETNI website, and I'd like to encourage you to share your ideas with others at the ETAI conference.

The deadline for submitting speaker proposals is May 31st, so this is the time to send your proposals in! You may do so in a variety of ways:

1) Download the speaker proposal form from the ETAI website - www.etni.org.il/etai/
and then send it via e-mail to our address with the title of your presentaion (up to 10 words) and a summary of the talk (not more than 50 words). Our address is: etai05@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

2) You may phone me at the ETAI office (tel. 02-500-1844)
to request that I mail the form to you or send it via FAX. You may also send me a FAX message at the office, at 02-500-1851.

One very important fact: YOU MUST BE AN ETAI MEMBER IN ORDER TO GIVE A PRESENTATION!
If your membership has elapsed, this is the time to renew it! If you are not an ETAI member, please call me at the office to arrange it.
