My suggestion is to go to the media.
Nobody takes any notice of anything until it appears in the media.
I don't think the proverbial Man in the street is aware of how dire the
situation is.
They only hear about us once a year , when the start of the school year is
threatened. And anyway most people believe that teachers are "spoiled" with
all that holiday time etc.
They really have no idea what is really going on.
