I have just read with considerable morbid fascination, the letters from 
Germany 1933-36! they surely are an eye-opener and a great counter-argument 
to any claim that "Ve Germans did not know!" or that "Only a handful og 
Germans suported Hitler!"
My late mother, who survived the blitz in dire circumstances in the heart of 
London, held strong views about Germans and was never reconciled to the 
"German mentality" even years after the war. These letters certainly 
reinforce her rationale!
