Dear Everyone,

Yesterday was Ellul 18, or 'Hai,' = Live. I lived through my wonderful, grueling cylce trip despite the heat, made it to the finish line as planned, and totaled 196 KM: Kiriat Shmona -- Haifa -- Ranana. I left at 5:40 Am and pulled into Raanana around 9:00 PM, sporting a bright blue Eric Cohen Books shirt. At one in the morning, I was on the last bus to Eckveldt, and, as the song goes, I was in my classroom teaching right at 9, I'm never late. (10 bonus point if you recongnize either of the songs.)

Many people have written in pledging money or sending cheques; I am deeply grateful for, thanks to you this project is going to succeed, at least to the tune of three thousand shekels. Those of you who didn't know about the trip and its purpose can still print out the file, hang it up in your teachers' room or office, and get more people on the bandwagon. www.etni.org/teachers/barry/bikeathonposter.doc

I spoke to Jade this morning and she sounds better than ever. May G-d grant her a speedy and complete recovery.
