Subject: Projects and Plagiarizing
Sometimes we use the phrase "write it in your own words", knowing that their
own vocabulary is limited and one of our (my) goals is to enlarge their
vocabulary. I encourage them to use the new words/terms and to write the
translation in parenthesis so that they will remember the words when they
re-read their work. I also require each project to include a glossary which
includes both words used in their final draft and words they learned while
reading.
