Subject: New Year greetings from ETAI
I wanted to take this opportunity to wish the community
of English teachers, coordinators and inspectors a very
happy, healthy and productive New Year!
Together with this greeting comes a request:
We at ETAI are attempting to meet the needs of our members
by organizing four annual teacher conferences, by publishing
the magazine, ETAI /Forum/, and by organizing other
special events around the country.
One such special interest group was held last week in
Jerusalem, where Prof. Ramon Lewis spoke on the topic,
"Interacting with Difficult Kids."
All those who attended came away with the feeling that they
benefited from the talk, and from the expertise of the speaker.
In order to continue our efforts on behalf of our members, we
need to elicit your cooperation.
Specifically, this means renewing your membership at the end
of each year (unless you have a /hora'at keva/). You may do
this by sending the office your membership dues - NIS 175 for
regular members, or NIS 120 for retirees, new immigrants
and students.
Our address is:
ETAI, P.O.B 7663, Jerusalem 91076.
If you have any questions about your status, you are welcome
to call me at the ETAI office,
telephone (02) 500-1844, or you may leave me a message
and I shall get back to you.
Likewise, if you are not an ETAI member but wish to become
one, you are welcome to speak with me at the office, and I'll
be happy to send you a membership registration form.
Best regards,
Marna Snyder
ETAI Office Director
