Subject: New Year Greetings from ETAI

To the English language teaching community,

ETAI, the English Teachers' Association of Israel, wants to
wish all of you a very happy, healthy, peaceful and productive
New Year! May it be a year in which you are able to set goals
for yourselves and your students, and may many of those goals be realized.

Our theme for the coming year is, "Wheels of Change,"
which encompasses a broad spectrum of ideas for change.
We welcome your input regarding ways in which we can better
meet your needs, first determining what those needs may be.
We'd like to hear from you concerning what ETAI could or
should be doing to further English language teaching in this country.
Accordingly, you're urged to send any ideas you may have to me at
this address - etaioffice@xxxxxxxxx

ETAI is hoping to encourage more involvement on a local level,
including special activities in the north and in other locations.
We want to organize and promote special interest groups in locales
which are accessible within 45 minutes of travel. If you have specific
requests for an activity, workshop, lecture or meeting in a certain
location, you may turn to us for suggestions about speakers, etc.

ETAI also wants to take this opportunity to announce our first
conference of the New Year, to be held in Beer Sheva on Sunday,
December 17th, at Kaye College, during the Hanukkah vacation.
All ETAI members and non-members are invited, including
student teachers and new teachers, as well as veteran teachers.

If you are not currently an ETAI member, you are welcome to
call me at the office to arrange your membership.
Our phone number is 02 -500 -1844, Sunday - Wednesday, 1-5 p.m.
If you are already an ETAI member, but have recently changed your
mailing address or e-mail address, please also contact me as soon as possible.

Again, wishing you and yours, "G'mar Hatimah Tova," to be signed and
sealed for a good New Year!
Marna Snyder
