My name is Phyllis Oded.
I have been teaching in Israel since 1967 and I love teaching more with each passing year.
Teacher burn-out? Never! Teaching 7-12th. grades, all levels, has given me the opportunity to try out new teaching methods, write my own material and develop my students' skill in the language.

- were written in 1998-9. [I tried to interest publishing houses in Israel to publish them, only to be told they could be too easily photocopied. Yes, that's true.]

I have used many of my poems in my classrooms over the years, including this year. As you can see from each file, the poems 'just came' to me, not in any particular order or for any special level. There are poems for beginners and poems for seniors.

To all of you who read my poems, I hope you will find a few special ones that you enjoyed personally and others you will share with your students.
