but does this person in the testing department have the authority to approve 
an oral exam instead? i think that that is what i would like to go for. 
until now they have been really "stingy" with approval for oral exams. this 
particular student could definitely benefit from it and this might be a way 
of getting approval. i don't think that the mionistry will reinstate 
something they have just decided to cancel (from past experience?)
