I don't spend much time on ETNI,but I think I would spend more if you had a 
section on your home page for issues and activism.  I have a commitment to 
eliminate the Bagrut in Israel.  I would like to share my work in this area 
and invite others to join me.  I think ETNI would be an ideal place for 
that.  Maybe I have just missed it, but I think we could do a lot for 
building community if there were an area where we could post our issues and 
commitments, and invite others to comment or join us.

For instance, I recently wrote a letter to the Minister of Education -

and plan to copy it, with more focused letters, to all of her directors who 
might actually be able to affect educational policy.  I don't think my 
letter will make much of a difference, but a few thousand, or even a few 
hundred or even dozens might put the issue on the table.  I invite you not 
only to post it, but also to establish an area where we can connect and 
bring our visions to reality.
