Important Announcement - Summer 2007, LD Oral Exam, Module E, Question 3

LD students who were tested orally on module E were required to answer 
question 3, item 1. The question is a flowchart consisting of three items. 
The correct answer to item 1 should have been based on the text and also on 
the information in item 2. However, the instructions to the testers did NOT 
require them to read out item 2 to the students. Some of the testers did, 
others didn't.  Consequently, students' answers were based either on both 
the text and item 2, or only on the text. Answers based only on the text 
could be very different from those based on item 2 as well, and therefore 
marked as wrong answers.
To remedy the problem, it has been decided to accept for LD students answers 
that are positive, negative, or BOTH, e.g.:
The numbers on the screen show that
- students HAVEN'T understood the lesson
- students gave WRONG answers
- students HAVE understood the lesson
- students gave RIGHT answers
- students HAVE understood the lesson, or NOT
- students gave both right and wrong answers

If you did not read item 2 of question 3 to the student you were testing 
and marked any of the above answers as wrong, please regrade the question 
and send in the revised final grade on a new 9540 form.
The new 9540 form with the revised final grade for the entire oral exam for 
module E should be sent to Dr. Judy Steiner no later than Tuesday, June 12, 
2007. On the top of the form, write in bold:
