To members of the English teaching community,

You don't have to be a "northerner" to join us at the upcoming ETAI
Northern Spring Conference in Haifa,
taking place on Monday, March 26th, at Leo Baeck Educational Center.

Everyone is welcome, and preparations are well underway for what
promises to be an exciting learning experience
during spring vacation.  The opening plenary speaker, well-known in
Israel, is Amos Paran, whose topic will be,
"Wheels of Change on the Road Not Taken."

Others on the program (which will be available soon) are Janette Segal
and Tessie Sabag, Barry Silverberg, Debi Partouche,
Miri Yochanna, David Young, Judi Alexander, Aviva Shapiro, and English
on Stage, performing "Music Evolution."
In addition, there will be many new faces, people coming forward with
new ideas for the classroom and for all ages.

We also hope to arrange bus transportation for those in the far north,
starting in Kiryat Shemona, and making stops
along the way.  The cost will be 30 NIS, to be paid in advance to the
ETAI office.  All those interested should call Fran
at 0544-983182.  Since the bus will only accommodate 20 people, the
sooner you make your reservation, the better!

Cost of admission to the ETAI Northern Spring Conference will be 25 NIS
for members, 50 NIS for non-members,
and 15 NIS for full-time students.
