I've been using a lesson plan to teach descriptive writing for years now, something taken from the Internet and I do not remember the source. I have put the lessonplan on my site and would be happy if someone can find the original URL.

I use this lesson plan a lot and have students write descriptions accordingly. I have also put some samples of student work on the site. Both the lessonplan and the samples are PDF files and open up extremely slowly for some reason but wait for it because it will be worth your while.
