Subject: Course for teachers in the Jerusalem area

Think about joining TETEC.
Learn about yourselves and others through meeting with colleagues and
creating English teaching materials.
Learn with experts in the fields of Folklore, Global Issues, Children’s
Rights, Art & Literature ,Conflict Resolution.

We are launching a new in-service course for teachers in the East and West
Jerusalem areas, sponsored by The Jerusalem Foundation and “Manch’i “
This 56 hour course (with grade) on Content-Based Language Instruction is
for Junior High School teachers (Grades 7- 9) and Elementary School
teachers (Grades 5 & 6). “TETEC” has very little to do with TEChnology, and
hardly anything to do with TEa. It is the acronym for: “Teaching English
hrough Exploration of Cultures”, which is what we will be doing.
Teachers will meet on Sundays (once every two weeks) at one of the
Pedagogic Centers in Jerusalem; sometimes at one (in Rehov Narkis) and
occasionally at the other (in Jerusalem Old City, Jaffa Gate)
The first meetings will be held on September 14th (for Arabic speakers) and
September 21st (for Hebrew speakers).
If you are interested in hearing more about the course, contact -
Inas Deeb: inasdeeb@xxxxxxxxxxx or
Valerie Jakar : gidyakar@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Register from September 14th at The Pedagogic Center, 11, Narkis St.,
Jerusalem,
or at The Pedagogic Center, Jaffa Gate, Old City, Jerusalem. There is no
registration fee.
