Dear Colleague

I am writing to invite you to a British Council 'roundtable' discussion,
to take place on Wednesday 21st December 2005 at 17.00.

The purpose of the meeting is two-fold: to give you an opportunity to
learn more about us and the wide range of activities and resources we
have at our disposal and, to explore ways in which the British Council
may be able to respond to and support the enrichment of learning English
for your students.

Let's kick start your pupils enthusiasm; let's get them out of the
classroom and into an exciting, dynamic environment where they can
really begin to appreciate language and literature!

Here's a quick reminder of the resources we have on our premises;

Over 1 500 contemporary fiction and prize winning books
Over 800 DVDs
Over 450 music CDs
Audio books and poetry
More than 20 magazines
More than 500 documentary videos

Don't forget our Virtual library - a collection of databases,
newspapers, dictionaries encyclopedias and e-books.  Find out about our
ELT websites which provide information to make teaching and lesson plans
easier, and about the events and competitions that we run.  Learn about
the possibility of studying in the UK and about online discussion groups
and forums.

The meeting will provide us with an opportunity to get to know each
other, over a coffee, and to discuss ideas which we will hopefully be
able to carry forward.  I hope you will be able to join us and look

recommend.
