All I can say, as a teacher who runs a private buisness for coaching English 
is: Yes Batya! Yes Batya! ! Yes! Yes! Yes!

Despite the fact that most of my students are way above average, I find 
myself having to waste time coaching them on the mechanics of how to deal 
with the bagrut questions, ( which are frequently tricky), and how  deal 
with the project to the satisfaction of he bagrut requirements.

Enoough already!  Lets get back to treaching English!  There is tons to be 
done, even with the very brightest and  most accomplished English speakers.

Frankly, I believe the English teachers should start a separate stike of 
their own; they work three times as hard as any other teacher.  I am not 
belittleing the work of other teachers, but English teachers have to teach, 
in a FOREIGN  language what hasn't been taught in language one.  Not to 
mention the fact that, even in the exclusive catachment area I teach in, one 
has to remind them that Paris is not in New York, and that they should know 
where Raanana is, even if expecting them to know where  Yeroham is. is 
asking too much.  And I'm talking about high school students.

Come on, everybody.  Lets face it.  Education in this country stinks, not 
because of the teachers, but because of the curriculum.
