Subject: copying copyrighted material
This has been on my mind for a while, particularly since the summer
ETAI conference
when many speakers emphasized that their handouts were not copyrighted
material.
If I adhere to the letter of the copyright warning at the beginning of
every book, I'm not
going to be able to photocopy any text whatsoever (well, almost). I
certainly don't intend
to copy a whole book, but I need to have texts to use as unseens that
the students haven't
seen already. My compliments to ECB's Choices for including a CD of
tests, but that's still
a limited source aimed at the highest level students. I guess I could
write them all myself...
but let's be realistic.
Any ideas?
Thanks and Shabbat Shalom.
