 We are sending a letter to the 8th grade students who have been accepted
 for next year in our school. We would like to advise them on what
 reading level and writing level they need to master in order to
 sucessfully begin the new year.  Does anyone have recommendations for
 English studies?  Yes, they have already been accepted by the powers
 that be. Yes, filling gaps between now and then is an overwhelming task
 for some of them.  However, in the hope that some of them will take the
 letter seriously, I would like any suggesions that you could offer.
