Although all the words you mentioned end in "y" there's a
big difference between "quickly" and the others.
"Quickly", as opposed to "hungry", "pretty" and "angry" is
an adverb and the "er" and "est" endings aren't used for "ly"
adverbs.
(the rule doesn't always apply to the NON "LY" adverbs such
as "fast" : "He is driving faster than any other car on the road".)
