What I think about this is even more disturbing: the question borders
on the realm of subliminal persuasion > I have no idea how many
pupils did Module F this summer, but I can imagine the effect on
at least 80 percent of them as they say something to the effect
of ..."she shows her devotion by refusing to go on strike/by working
without pay" or words to that effect. When I had asked a bright pupil
what he thought of the question, he shrugged nonchalantly and gave
me a look of, "Isnt't that how teachers are always treated?" If Limor
Livnat's purpose in dismissing the 6,000 teachers this summer was
to wage a campaign that would discredit the teachers , this does it
MUCH more subtly, don't you think?
Incidentally, I have read reports that, in Norway, pupils were given
a text about the Security Fence in Israel. And pupils were expected
to write in response to one of the questions about how we are
victimising the Palestenians.
Does that help to put things in perspective?
